Allocation of Hard Disks

I have been asked why I need over 20TB of storage… This is this rundown!!!

  • 120GB SSD (solid state drive) holds the Operating System for the physical Server
  • 10TB is actual storage, which is for my Media Library, Software Archive and TV Recordings
  • 10TB is archive storage for my ACTUAL storage!
  • 2TB that is empty, ready to be used at a moments notice!

Of that 10TB -

  • 6TB is reserved for TV Boxsets, TV Recordings and my repository of Kodi stuff (pngs, and repo zips)
  • 4TB is reserved for Movies and Music Videos

This should last me quite a while!! This way, I don't need to worry about my backups, or running out of space soon!
