Here you will find my step-by-step tutorials on how to install a vanilla Ubuntu Server installation, from there you will be able to install a web server (LEMP), a Nextcloud server, which can be used as an alternative to Office 365, a file server that windows 10 machines can access, and how to add your own WordPress installation if you want to use your server for your local Intranet.

The reasons for this wiki are twofold:

  1. Documentation such as this is littered around the internet, whilst being proficient in the Linux OS, it's always best to have your own documentation. I use these from day to day and at least for now, it's all in one place.
  2. This documentation can also be used by anyone FOR FREE, with the caveat that it's AS-IS, and I take no responsibility for any data loss or breakage

Here is a piece of advice - please do not blindly copy/paste everything into the terminal, i have added what the step is going to do, so it gives you an idea of what the command is, read slowly, see what each page is trying to achieve then that will give you more of an understanding on how Linux works.

More will be added in the near future. But please be aware of the disclaimer on my footer.
